Although many would deny this, most schools are still living within and functioning through an Education 1.0 model. The pieces of an Education 3.0 are literally freely available for the taking, why aren’t those involved in the planning and implementing of schools integrating these ideas, tools and strategies into their systems? The time for planning for Education 3.0 was actual yesterday, but doing it now is okay, too.

Of the career readiness skills companies demand, listening has been identified as one of the top skills employers seek. Although most of us spend the majority of our day listening, it is the communication activity that receives the least instruction in school. Many students don’t listen to each other simply because no one has shown them how. Teachers need to prepare students to actively listen and engage in conversations.
