Reuters has published their annual ranking of the World’s Most Innovative Universities. This year, the most innovative university in the world, for the third consecutive year, is Stanford University.

Nowadays it is almost impossible to talk about college education without also addressing the issue of employability. In this context and to tackle the threat of automation and the skills gap, Pearson has published the report The Future of Skills. Employment in 2030, a publication that identifies the skills and competencies that professionals will need to remain relevant in the —not so distant— future.
Tec de Monterrey and Trilogy collaborate to launch coding boot camp
To meet the growing demand for software engineers and developers, Tecnológico de Monterrey and Trilogy Education Services have partnered to launch an immersive coding boot camp in 2018 with a focus on competencies and career change. The Coding Boot Camp starts in April 2018 in Monterrey; it will last 6 months (part-time) and will be taught in English.
Ohio University partners with Revature to offer free training in coding
Ohio University and Revature, a technology talent development company, announced a strategic partnership to provide Ohio students and alumni with free, hands-on technology training to prepare them to fill the regional workforce skills gap.
Internet giants commit $300 million to K-12 computer science education
The Internet Association —an organization that represents leading internet companies, such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft and Facebook— announced that it will give more than $300 million to K-12 computer science programs. The investment is designed to expand computer science education and close the skills gap.
Intelligent technologies to foster reading
An individual’s reading competency is fundamental to the development of his or her learning process. As part of the program "Pasión por la lectura" (Passion for Reading), Tecnológico de Monterrey students developed two technological solutions that use virtual reality, augmented reality, and gamification elements to foster reading.
