WISE annually awards six prizes to the world’s most innovative educational projects.

Mexico, October 13, 2020.

Educación para Compartir (EpC), also abbreviated E4S for its English name (Education for Sharing), has been recognized by WISE for its innovative dialogue mechanism between professors and students. It is the first time in the history of these awards that a Mexican organization has won. WISE, the Qatar Foundation’s emblematic educational initiative, awards six prizes to the world’s most innovative educational projects every year. In addition to recognition, winners will receive advertising support, opportunities to strengthen their network of contacts and a $20,000 (US) award. The winners will be celebrated at a global online ceremony on October 28, 2020.

Education for Sharing (E4S), based in Mexico City, currently works in eight countries. E4S is an international organization that encourages global citizens’ formation through an innovative educational model based on the power of the game. E4S works in environments where educational systems can be more effective in responding to current social challenges. The E4S model uses a “play-reflect-act” framework that encourages teachers to teach dynamically and promotes children’s participation. Through linking a school’s curriculum to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the project provides teachers with the skills and tools needed to structure their courses to empowers students to be global agents of change. E4Shas benefited more than 1.3 million children, teachers, mothers, and families.

The other winners of the 2020 WISE Awards include Barefoot College Solar Electrification with Enriched Education from Barefoot College, Parenting the Future from the Hupan Modou Foundation, Think Equal from Think Equal, Stawisha Leadership Institute from Dignitas, and Justice Defenders.
