Tec de Monterrey Launches Real-Time Continuing Education

Tec de Monterrey launched its ‘live programs,’ a new modality of synchronous teaching where interactive, virtual, and experiential learning are part of the college experience.

Tec de Monterrey’s continuing education offer expands its options with the launch of distance programs with live interactions. Diplomas and certifications within the Live modality (Learning Interactive Virtual Experience) are online programs that combine two types of learning, synchronous and asynchronous, explained Jorge Blando, vice–chancellor of Continuing Education at Tec.

“It is a digital learning experience that combines synchronous learning guided by an expert that nurtures relevant content and experiences, with asynchronous learning supported by the digital platform,” said Blando.

How does “Live modality” works?

Courses under this modality are virtual with small groups that participate in discussion forums with experts where real cases are raised. Currently, there are ten programs in the Live modality, including diplomas and certifications – with durations ranging from 84 to 104 hours.

“Another important element is that participants apply their knowledge through a project or challenge that is solved during the program and with the guidance of experts,” Blando added. Also, the platform offers students the possibility of accessing content and videos whenever they want and as many times as necessary to improve their learning experience.

The objective of the Live programs is to promote relevant long-term learning that transcends daily life, adding value both to the person who is living this experience and to the organizations in which they collaborate.

What differentiates Live programs?

Live mode programs

1. Advanced purchasing management
   In this diploma, the student addresses the continuous, timely, and sustainable supply of goods and services, through the design of effective purchasing strategies, administration structures, and agreements with suppliers.

2. Strategic management of human resources
   The diploma allows professionals from the human resources areas to generate strategic plans for the development and retention of talent in organizations.

3. Business management
   This diploma course supports the development of visions, actions, strategic solutions, and decision-making to strengthen organizations, provide welfare to collaborators, and positively impact their audiences.

4. Data Science: Decision Making with Predictive Analytics
   The course deals with the design of strategies for decision making based on data science, using algorithms to segment, classify, find patterns, and make predictions.

5. Management skills development
   This certificate is intended for those who seek to lead and inspire their team towards their personal and professional growth, foster an environment of collaboration and life-work balance that positively impacts the operation and results.

6. Ethics and international corporate compliance
   Through this certification, participants will be able to train, lead, and develop ethics and compliance programs in organizations, assess compliance risks and their impact on the economy.
