Tecnológico de Monterrey has the 14th best undergraduate entrepreneurship program in the world, according to the new ranking The Princeton Review’s Top Schools for Entrepreneurship Studies for 2018.
For the study, published by The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur, researchers examined the entrepreneurship programs of more than 300 institutions. The analysis’ outcome are two lists with the 25 best schools, one for undergraduate and other for graduate programs.
Tecnológico de Monterrey has remained in the Top 25 of undergraduate entrepreneurship studies for three years and this is the first time it enters the Top 15. The institution is the only one outside the United States that participates in the evaluation, and has been climbing up from the place 23 to 17 and now to 14.
“At Tecnológico de Monterrey, the support destined for entrepreneurship has experienced a significant boost in the last two years. There is a strong participation of students in the most relevant competitions carried out by prestige organizations and institutions (…). In addition, there is a wide range of challenges and competitions available to students in order to strengthen their strategy of entrepreneurship,” stated the institution.
The Princeton Review carried a survey in the middle of the year asking schools about the levels of commitment to entrepreneurship inside and outside the classroom.
Among the topics examined are the percentage of faculty, students, and alumni who have been successful as entrepreneurs; the number and scope of mentoring programs; scholarships for entrepreneurship studies; and the level of institutional support for business plan competitions.
“These colleges and business schools have superb entrepreneurship programs. We highly recommend them to any applicant aspiring to launch a business. Their faculties are truly engaged in entrepreneurism. Their courses are rich with in-class and out-of-class experiential components, and the financial and networking support their students and programs receive via donors and alumni is extraordinary,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s Editor-in-Chief.
