At a pivotal moment for education, work, and technology in Latin America and the Caribbean, the sixth annual TecPrize open innovation program announces the ten finalist solutions advancing to this year’s grand finale.
This year, more than 140 proposals from 20 countries responded to the challenge:
How can workers in Latin America and the Caribbean leverage Artificial Intelligence to develop relevant skills, improve their performance, and close the skills gap in the workplace?
The labor market’s transformation has accelerated the demand for new skills, meaning that education requires more than just a degree: it has become a continuous process that demands innovation, adaptation, and purpose. In this context, the intersection of pedagogy, technology, and entrepreneurship is crucial for shaping the future of work in the region.
The TecPrize 2025 call, organized by the EdTech team of the Institute for the Future of Education (IFE) of Tecnológico de Monterrey, was overseen by an international jury comprised of experts from various organizations, who selected the following ten finalist initiatives:

Meet the Ten TecPrize Finalists 2025
- Disruptia (Colombia) – Paola Andrea Franco
This AI-powered EdTech + HRTech platform trains and connects underrepresented talent who have formal jobs (youth, migrants, LGBTIQ+, employees over 50, people with disabilities, and minorities). Smart matching + accelerated learning paths = more hires and lower turnover.
- Eddie (Colombia) – Juan Gabriel Sáenz
An AI-driven Learning Coach, “Eddie” helps workers in Latin America close skills gaps. Through WhatsApp training, personalized mentoring, and content creation, it boosts professional development and employability.
- HackÜ (Colombia) – Juan Simón Salazar
This microlearning platform for mobile workers offers gamified capsules via WhatsApp, Teams, or Slack, complete with AI-driven reminders and monitoring dashboards that track progress, satisfaction, and impact.
- Kipon (Brazil) – Karla Ribeiro
“Kipon” is a skills mapping and management platform powered by neuro-symbolic AI that helps companies in Latin America close talent gaps and strengthen workforce development.
- Ludos Pro (Brazil) – Danilo Parise
This AI-powered, gamified corporate training platform delivers personalized experiences, real-time analytics, and automated course generation to enhance employee engagement and performance.
- O-lab (Colombia) – Tania Rosas
An interactive content engine that utilizes job simulations and AI tutors, “O-lab” promotes skills learning, enabling individuals to learn by doing, receive support, and demonstrate their competencies.
- Ozaru (Mexico) – Guillermo Garza
This AI co-pilot empowers frontline work. It provides real-time answers, guidance, and motivation, reducing errors, increasing sales, and measuring the impact of every interaction.
- SceneSnap (Italy) – Nicolás Avelar
“SceneSnap” transforms any class or document into an adaptive and interactive learning path, complete with notes, quizzes, review cards, and AI tutoring. Currently, it has contracts with QS100 and Fortune 500 companies, providing services to more than 10,000 apprentices.
- SimSkills (Spain) – Santiago Oddone
This AI-powered simulator enables large-scale, adaptive, interactive training experiences in real-time.
- Supervisor AI (Mexico) – Guillermo Treviño
“Supervisor AI” is a conversational AI designed for individuals who train agents in real-time, automating repetitive tasks without replacing humans. It improves performance through personalized coaching based on real conversations.
These ten finalists not only present technological innovation but also demonstrate a genuine commitment to people’s development, organizational strengthening, and the reduction of structural gaps in education and employment in the region.
Benefits of the TecPrize 2025 program
- Cash prizes of $30,000 US, $20,000, and $10,000 for the top three winners.
- Top-tier participation in the IFE EdTech Summit 2026 in Monterrey, Mexico, with a complete package (ticket, flight, lodging, and stall) for the ten finalists.
- Live grand finale on the main stage of the IFE Conference 2026 (January 27 to 29, 2026).
- Impact measurement bootcamp designed to potentiate the projects.
- Access to mentors, experts, and key connections in the EdTech ecosystem.
- Three-month accompaniment program for finalists.
- Admission of one of the three winners to the EdTech acceleration program at the University of Southern California – Rossier School of Education.
The grand finale of TecPrize 2025 will take place within the framework of the IFE Conference 2026, the premier international congress on educational innovation in Latin America, which promotes the future of education and continuous learning.
In this way, TecPrize consolidates itself as a key platform to make visible, support, and accelerate educational and technological innovation, promoting solutions that respond to the critical challenges of the skills gap in Latin America and the Caribbean.
