Amazon announced free courses and certification for developers interested in Machine Learning (ML) training on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.

This learning platform used by Amazon engineers is now available free to anyone interested in exploring Artificial Intelligence solutions. The educational offer consists of more than 30 digital courses aimed at developers, data scientists, data platform engineers, and business professionals.

Each course addresses fundamental topics on ML and illustrates its applications and models through case studies from different companies and problems that Amazon engineers have solved.

The platform design allows students to choose their educational experience through different learning paths in addition to being able to achieve certification.

The coursework seeks to consolidate good practices and show the potential of Machine Learning as an option for business developments. Examples of technology used on the Amazon platform include predicting gift-wrapping eligibility, optimizing product delivery routes, or predicting nominations for film awards using data from the IMDb website.

The goal of Amazon is to train developers in Machine Learning and to encourage more business decision makers to explore AI solutions within the Amazon Web Services platform.
